London Cat Sitter is a cat sitting and home care service for when you take time away from home and would rather leave your pet in its own environment rather than put it into a cattery.

London Cat Sitter allows you to book a carer for your cats (and other small animals) who will ensure they are fed, cuddled and played with. The service also means that your home is looked after until your return.

London Cat Sitter was set up when I moved to London and was unable to have a cat at home due to tenancy conditions. Having lived with cats all my life so far, not having any around seemed very alien so it made sense to set up a service that would help other people look after theirs. However, my services are not limited to cats, I have had a variety of other animals including tortoises, terrapins, iguanas, mice, rabbits, guinea pigs, small snakes and fish.

Cats are generally very territorial animals that do not easily adapt to new conditions, such as being placed in a cattery while their family is away. From my own experience, my family's cats would return skinny and nervous after a stay at the cattery whereas when we left them at home under the care of friends, they hardly noticed we had gone! From then onwards they never went back to the cattery.

The services I offer are designed to give you piece of mind knowing that your cat is looked after while you are away. I will visit at least once a day to feed, play with and cuddle your cat as well as clean out bowls and litter trays. Along with this I can also care for other small animals you may have and collect post, open and close curtains and switch lights on and off as necessary. You will receive a daily email update so you will be able to keep tabs on your cat.

I have been CRB checked and am a member of the National Association of Registered Dog Sitters which covers all dog, cat and small animal sitters in the UK.
